Just wanted to make this comment because I’m also in a relationship and I think about this from time to time. How can anyone be 100% sure that their partner is also being 100% faithful? As I get older, this becomes more questionable in my mind. That may be a reason to get tested from time to time to be on the safe side.

Yes. Regardless of your status as single or married, if sexually active, or thinking about it, everyone should be getting tested. No excuse not to, its easy and why not? Ignoring something if you have something doesnt make something go away…it only makes it worse, when getting a simple test then following up with any treatment if needed could make it better. 🙂

I probably should, it just seems like a hassle.

You can get the results from a mouth swab in 20 minutes. And there is also a 1 minute test where they prick your finger. It doesn’t take a week or even a month like it used to.

I am pretty sexually active. so I get tested 15 days after my last sexual experience or when there’s a lull in my sexual activity.

I think all gay men and some straight ppl should get tested. I see so many men that come to me for sex and they tell me that they are in a commited relationship. That could be your partner or husband.

Anybody who is sexually active should be tested regularly, for all STDs.
